Creating a Campaign
This article outlines how you can create a fundraising campaign. Customers can donate to a campaign and help reach a specific target.
Follow these steps
From the menu select Create → Campaign.
Choose to Run your own campaign or choose a charity to run a campaign on behalf of by clicking Choose your charity campaign. If you want to create a campaign on behalf of a charity click here for more information. Follow the below steps for running your own campaign.
From the General tab, you can fill in the following fields.
Campaign Name - Use this to identify payments from this campaign on your reports.
bank Account - Choose a bank account you want the funds from the campaign to settle into.
GL Code - Select from your list of pre-defined of GL Code to help with reporting. Read more about GL Codes here.
Target Amount - Set a target amount that you hope to reach with the campaign.
Planned End Date - Choose a date in which you want the campaign to end, the campaign will automatically unpublish on this date.
From the Description tab, you can fill in the following fields.
Campaign Title - Use this to create a title for your campaign that donors will see.
Campaign Description - Add in some details about the campaign and tell your story.
To add a link to your campaign description, type in the the text you want into the description, then highlight the word you want to attach the URL to and click on the link symbol.
Then you enter in the URL into the ‘Enter link’ box and press 'Save'.
If you have copied text from a website and are trying to paste it into the description section. You may receive the following error message ‘Please remove the HTML tags you have added.’ If you do, when pasting text into the description box, use the ‘Paste as plain text option’.
Set the organisation logo toggle to YES if you want to use this in your campaign. Click here to see how to add an organisation logo.
Main Campaign Image - Add an image that will be displayed with the campaign.
Charity Logo - Add the charity logo or any other log you may want to associate with the campaign.
Website URL - Add a website URL that donors can be directed too when they click on the campaign logo.
On the Options tab you can enable the following items.
Hide the amount raised, target amount & donors comments from your campaign landing page. Meaning that all these items will be hidden from public view.
Hide the campaign from Payzone’s list of published campaigns. For example Payzone might share all published campaigns on their website, would you like your campaign shown there, if so leave the toggle to NO.
On the Receipt tab, enter in a message you want to include on donor’s receipt of payment.
To publish the campaign, tick the Publish tick box.
