GL Codes

In this article we will show you how to create & manage GL Codes for your products and reports.

What is a GL Code?

A GL Code (General Ledger Code) is a series of alphanumeric characters given to financial entries in an organisation’s ledger. By adding a GL Code to your products, it can be easier to track and categorize financial entries. This can especially be useful when exporting your data from Easy Payments Plus to other financial systems.

How to add GL Codes?

  1. From your dashboard go to the general Settings Icon

  2. Select GL Codes

  3. Click on Add GL Code

  4. Type in the GL Code & GL Code Name that you wish to create and click Save

  5. The Newly created GL Code will be added to your list

How to Edit/Delete a GL Code?

  1. Choose the 3 dots beside the code you wish to edit/delete

  2. Click on the action you wish to complete


How to add GL Codes to products?

  1. You can add a GL Code while creating a new product or by editing an existing product.

  2. From the Description tab of your product, select the GL Code dropdown list to choose from one of your added GL Codes and press Save.

GL Code Reporting

Ensure to switch the GL Code Reporting toggle to YES to include the GL Code in your Payments, Detail & Bank Reconciliation Report.
